Terms of Service — InQR
Last updated: September 15, 2026
These terms are intentionally short, matching what the app actually is: a free, single-device, no-account utility app.
Acceptance
By downloading or using InQR (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
License
You’re granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app.
Your data is your responsibility
The app stores your data locally on your device. There is no account and no cloud backup by default. If you uninstall the app, lose your device, or clear its storage, your data is gone unless you’ve used the app’s export-backup feature to save a copy yourself. Back up anything you’d be upset to lose.
Acceptable use
Use the app for its intended purpose — organizing your own physical items, tasks, and reminders. Don’t attempt to misuse, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer doesn’t guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Because your data lives on your device and nowhere else, you are strongly encouraged to use the export-backup feature periodically if your data matters to you.
Third-party service
The app makes one outbound request type, to Open Food Facts, for optional barcode lookups. That service has its own terms; the app’s use of it is limited to anonymous product lookups (see the Privacy Policy for detail).
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
